Forgiveness can be such a loaded word especially when it comes to self-care and shadow work. Forgiveness for SELF is most important because as you go to those dark crevices of your mind and shine a light on your inner critic, having compassion for yourself is important. Forgiveness is always for you and never has to be given to a perpetrator. Forgiveness is about allowing and letting go. As you do inner work to get to the best version of YOU, self-forgiveness will always be necessary. Release your burdens so you can live a full life.
